Strength To Do His Will
Since coming on this mission, I have had some physical challenges. I often wondered if I would be up to the tasks that were before me.

When I read these words in the Doctrine and Covenants to Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdery (D&C 24:7, 11-12), I felt they were meant for me too.

7 For thou shalt devote all thy service in Zion; and in this thou shalt have strength.

11 In me he shall have glory, and not of himself, whether in weakness or in strength, whether in bonds or free;

12 And at all times, and in all places, he shall open his mouth and declare my gospel as with the voice of a trump, both day and night. And I will give unto him strength such as is not known among men.

Surely, the Lord has given me strength as I strive to "devote all my service in Zion" here in the Family History Library. I truly believe that Family History work is like declaring the "gospel as with a voice of a trump, both day and night" to those who are on the other side of the veil. When there are days that I would rather just stay in bed, I think of this promise that He "will give unto (me) strength such as is not known among men." Then I just get up and get going, and I always find the strength to do whatever needs to be done that day.
I am so grateful for the Doctrine and Covenants and these passages that remind me that my Heavenly Father knows me (my strengths and my weaknesses) and will not ask any-thing of me that is not possible. He will always give me the strength to do His will.
